Project Description

Mandai Bird Paradise offers an immersive wildlife experience where architecture and nature merge to create unique habitats for visitors and animals alike. To support this vision, PFEIFER Structures delivered architecturally exposed steel structures that blend harmoniously into the surrounding landscape.

Tensile mesh forms the enclosure of the aviaries. A two-layer tension cable structure is the skeleton of each aviary, supported by huge steel columns, that go up to a height of 35 meters.
PFEIFER Structures supplied and installed the complete aviary steel, cable and mesh enclosure, and also the PTFE roof over the Sky Amphitheatre, where avian presentations are held.
The enclosure was erected above existing trees exclusively by rope access technicians.
