The Ningbo Yifule Biotech Factory & Office Building combines industrial functionality with contemporary architectural design through a distinctive lightweight membrane envelope. The innovative façade and roof system create a visually striking appearance while improving daylight penetration, solar protection, and energy efficiency, demonstrating how tensile architecture can enhance modern industrial facilities.
PFEIFER Structures was responsible for the engineering, fabrication, and installation of the building’s complete tensile membrane structure. The project features a lightweight PTFE mesh membrane system that forms both the façade and roof enclosure, requiring the precise integration of steel support structures, tensioning systems, and membrane technology. The combination of advanced structural engineering, high-quality fabrication, and expert installation resulted in an efficient and durable building envelope that meets demanding architectural and environmental requirements while providing a unique visual identity for the facility.
