Silesian Stadium is one of Poland’s most prestigious sports venues, serving as a national stadium for athletics, football, and large-scale entertainment events. Following its extensive modernization, the stadium features an impressive roof structure that combines architectural elegance with advanced structural engineering, creating a world-class venue for international competitions and public events.
The 45.000 m² roof contains of two compression rings, one tension ring and radial cable girders. PFEIFER supplied 600 tons of steel structure, cables and connections, 45.000 m² polycarbonate consisting of 3.600 sheets and a monitoring system for maintenance reasons.
